On April 30, the Cedar Springs Rotary Club along with Scouts and Scouters from Boy Scout Troop 222 and Venture Crew 2222 plus other volunteers resided the Scout Hut in Morley Park. The Rotary Club originally built the building in the late 40s and has updated it over the years. In 2004, the club replaced the roof and did some other structural work. In 2009, they added an extra 12 inches of insulation provided by NuWool. NuWool sponsors the Club’s paper recycling fundraiser.
For the past three years the club set aside some of its 'good works' funds to purchase siding. The cost of the project was about $2,300, which included siding, a new door, trim, new locks, paint and other smaller items.
The Club and Scouts thank the community for their generous support.
